 Best Revenge 5 introduced a new level of luxury, finish, spaciousness and details to the crewed charter arena. She has been specifically designed as a fast, luxurious, roomy charter yacht. Her state-of-the-art design by Alliaura/Privilege offers opulent interior space that belies her 60' length, especially when considering that she has even more volume than catamarans 10 feet longer or monohulls up to 100'. Visually nothing is lost, because beautiful lines and flat uncluttered decks complete the fine proportions. Based in the BVI, she will consider all eastern Caribbean destinations on request, and, will also be chartering in New England (Newport to Nantucket and, on request, Maine).

No detail was overlooked in setting a new standard for crewed charter sailboats, from luxury bath and bed linens and designer dinnerware to Ultrasuede upholstery in the salons and cabins and custom leatherette contoured seating in the cockpit. The luxurious and spacious interior blends classic dark cherry wood, plenty of deep comfortable seating (a spacious six-person couch at a combination coffee table/dining table and three over-stuffed easy chairs for private lazing), a full Bose entertainment system and elegant Italian design. Here you can step up to the bar where Rusty, your captain, will be happy to fix you any cocktail you can think of, or kick back and watch a surround sound movie on our 42” plasma screen television. All four guest cabins are equally spacious and private. Each has either a large queen or king bed, an office corner and personal seating, plenty of storage, independent stereo systems, and beautiful views from oversized windows not seen on most sailboats. All cabins have en-suite bathrooms with top-end, home-style electric toilets and multiple head showers. There is air conditioning throughout with separate controls in each cabin to ensure a cool, comfortable night’s sleep.

She has more than enough deck space for four couples either to lounge comfortably together or find private spaces, and two large trampolines on the bow (with their own stereo speakers), which are perfect for soaking up the sun or reading a book in the shade of her sails. The cockpit is truly the heart of this beautiful yacht, with surround sound audio, two teak tables, wide, comfortable seating, plenty of shade provided by the customized, oversized protective hard bimini, and full night-time high and low lighting.

After several seasons running a 62’ charter catamaran, Pete and Niki are very excited to be making new waves as they join Best Revenge 5. A capable, thoughtful and flexible team, Pete and Niki are dedicated to ensuring you experience the vacation of a lifetime. Before becoming a charter crew, they sailed several thousands of miles on their own 43’ sloop – Don Quixote II – which served as both their home on the east coast of England and their Rocinante for many sailing holidays around Europe. Their biggest journey yet was to get married and sail off into the sunset… or rain, as was the case of the British weather! They cruised through Spain, Portugal and The Canary Islands before crossing the Atlantic and making landfall in Antigua. Finally sailing their way to the British Virgin Islands, Pete and Niki entered the charter industry and never looked back. The perfect honeymoon that has never ended…

CAPTAIN: Pete Clapp
Pete, who was born into a sailing family on the South East coast of England, has worked in the watersports industry for over 20 years and, in that time, has gained many qualifications and considerable experience, including: RYA/MCA Commercial Offshore Yachtmaster, RYA Powerboat, Windsurfing and Senior Sailing Instructor, experienced BCU canoe and kayak coach, and PADI Open Water Diver.

He regularly skippers corporate regattas on the south coast of England and has completed many Atlantic crossings. Pete is a confident, capable captain who safely steers his guests through the beauties of the British Virgin Islands and BR5’s other cruising grounds. His personal skills, friendly service and extensive knowledge of the islands ensure an unforgettable time aboard BR5.

CHEF/HOSTESS: Niki Payne
Niki, a former teacher, has a real sense of adventure which has led her from the rural farm grounds of her home county to travel and work through Europe and the USA. She has a Bachelor’s of Education in Physical Education and English. Additionally she holds a RIPH Level 2 Award in Catering Food Safety, is STCW 95 sea-safety trained, and is PADI Open Water dive-certified.

With over 10 years sailing experience (including four years in charter service) and extended cruising in Europe and the Caribbean, Niki is passionate about your culinary experience afloat and takes care to tailor food and wine pairings accordingly, including catering for those with special diets and palates. She enjoys cooking with the freshest ingredients, incorporating local produce where available, and creating a variety of flavorsome, wholesome dishes that complement the sailing experience. As her sample menus reflect, her tastes run the gamut from culinaire moderne classics to island specialties and Eastern twists.

Pete and Niki form a fantastic team afloat; from delicious dining and ‘champagne’ sailing, to the personal snorkeling tours and special “Captain’s cocktails”, they are passionate about each and every aspect of your charter experience.
